Welcome to Dave Casler’s site and blog!
I like to share information and that's what this site is for. I love living in Southwestern Colorado in the San Juan Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountain range. I enjoy motorcycling, both street and dirt, so I keep GPS tracks of my travels to share along with photographs. Oh, the wildflowers aren't bad either!

I went back to Peach Valley on Saturday, April 16, 2011 and enjoyed the stunning weather. I was determined, among other things, to travel the Candy Cane Loop. I’d tried last year and got lost. Well, I got lost again, … Continue reading

Last year, Glenn Neigenfind introduced me to the dirt roads and trails west of US Hwy 550, bounded on the north by Kinikin Road (Montrose, Colorado) and on the south by Buckhorn Road. What a great place to explore! On … Continue reading

Following the theme of taking advantage of good weather, I hopped atop my Yamaha XT-250 dirt bike and headed for the hills. Knowing that the high country is still snowed in, I took a route I like very much. It … Continue reading
We all have spring fever, and Mother Nature aided and abetted this feeling yesterday and today with sunny skies and temps in the high 50s. I got out my trusty 1994 Yamaha Seca II, checked the tire pressure, made sure … Continue reading
Beautiful weather here today! I checked the tires and oil and managed to fire up the Yamaha Seca II, my 17-year-old 600cc sport-touring motorcycle, and took it for a nice ride. In my travels today I happened to capture the … Continue reading
