Lesson 6.5, Nets

If you want a sure-fire way to get involved with your local amateur radio community, participate in the various nets offered by clubs and other organizations! This is your video introduction to the concept of nets in ham radio. No, not fishing nets, though actually the concept is similar. Nets bring things together and hold them together. After you’ve watched the video, read the actual lesson in the ARRL Technician Class Ham Radio License Manual.

When you have finished, click here to return to the list of lessons. BTW, the hills in the video backdrop you see are the Adobes north of Montrose, Colorado. The picture is taken from atop Flattop, late afternoon, looking north. The area is a popular (and legal) destination for motorcycle dirt bikers.
