Ouray County Roads 9 dry but blocked by trees
To my great surprise, upon checking Ouray County Road 9, I found it quite dry and approachable. Even the normal mudholes are dry. The road is blocked by fallen trees a few hundred yards short of the creek crossing.
The views, as one might imagine, were spectacular.
I caught this waterfall across the arroyo in the corner of my eye. Further exploration revealed quite a waterfall.
Here’s how to find County Road 9, several miles west of Ridgway along US Hwy 550.
I tweaked the pictures a bit to counteract a bit of haze.
