Welcome to Dave Casler’s site and blog!
I like to share information and that's what this site is for. I love living in Southwestern Colorado in the San Juan Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountains. I enjoy motorcycling, both street and dirt, so I keep GPS tracks of my travels to share along with photographs and videos. Oh, the wildflowers aren't bad either!

I’ve added many un-indexed posts containing photos, videos, and GPS maps of many roads and trails in the area that I’ve ridden since I last updated the old “Index to Roads by County and by Date of Ride” page. That … Continue reading
Spring continues to be relatively cool (high 60s today). The flowers are out at the lower elevations and all the grass is green everywhere. And…my arm continues to heal. I’m in physical therapy and am starting to get some muscle … Continue reading
Five weeks after breaking my arm in a motorcycle accident, I made good on a promise to the five young men who rescued me. I’d promised I’d take them out to dinner at any Montrose restaurant they chose. I mentioned … Continue reading
Yes, it’s true that I crashed not long after I took this video, but I suppose there’s no harm in putting it here. For quite a number of years the only connection between the Peach Valley recreation area outside of … Continue reading
I took this video last Saturday, and, yes, I know I crashed later on that day. But still, this road goes through an area that I really like. So I speeded things up a little bit, and here you are!
On Saturday afternoon I crashed my Yamaha dirt bike and broke my arm! Just to show you how tough the motorcycle is, the only damage to it was a broken bracket that holds the clutch lever in place. I did … Continue reading
Steve White now owns Gary’s Honda 90. We went for a ride yesterday over Lower Powerline Road from the north end to the south end. Enjoy our 20 minute ride in less than five minutes!
Spring is here early just as it is everywhere in the country. Gary Garren and I went up to Buckhorn Lakes today on our motorcycles. The road is open all the way to the lakes. Last week I checked out … Continue reading
If your Internet connection supports it, I really suggest watching this at 720p. Part of Elephant Ridge Trail, from the north heading south. I used my GoPro HD Hero2 to capture the footage and CyberLink PowerDirector to assemble the video. … Continue reading
Woohoo! My birthday present is a GoPro HD Hero2 helmet-mounted camera. Needless to say, it was mounted on my helmet even before I left Highland Cycles of Montrose, CO. What you see here is the first (successful) video, taken last … Continue reading
