Welcome to Dave Casler’s site and blog!
I like to share information and that's what this site is for. I love living in Southwestern Colorado in the San Juan Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountain range. I enjoy motorcycling, both street and dirt, so I keep GPS tracks of my travels to share along with photographs. Oh, the wildflowers aren't bad either!

This concludes the video series on Imogene Pass, following the journey from the top of the pass, down to the west through the ghost town of Tomboy, and down into Telluride itself. Enjoy!
Part 3 covers from the false summit to the real summit. The road gets steeper (waaaaaaay steep) and gnarly. Enjoy! Part 1, which covers from Lower Camp Bird to Upper Camp Bird, is here, and Part 2, which covers from … Continue reading
Here’s Part 2 of the ride over Imogene Pass from the Ouray side to the Telluride side. This video covers from Upper Camp Bird to the false summit. I say “false summit” because from down below it appears to be … Continue reading
I mentioned a side road off a side road off a side road. Well, here’s the video. The term “side road” implies a main road, and the main road is San Juan (Colorado) County Road 2, which connects Silverton to … Continue reading
I’ve been over Corkscrew Pass on the motorcycle many time. On this day I opted to take a side road. And I had the GoPro HD Hero2 camera on top of my helmet. Enjoy the high altitudes and steep drop-offs … Continue reading
Gary Garren and I did quite the grand tour today, covering three roads here in Ouray County, Colorado. County Roads 5, 7, and 9 have in common that they end right at the very feet of the Sneffels Range with … Continue reading
Over the past couple days, I checked out some of my favorite roads, very near to where I live. Glenn’s Road is open to the point where you can see a great view of Montrose to the north. Upper Powerline … Continue reading
I tested out my Wouxun KG-UV3D on APRS on Thursday, Sept 1st. The equipment went into my Blazer with a mag-mount antenna. As you can see from the following GPS track, the equipment performed well. This post describes my system, … Continue reading
