My display at the emergency prep event in Gunnison, Colorado.

Last Thursday, May 1st, 2014, I was invited to provide information about amateur radio at an emergency preparedness event in Gunnison, CO, hosted by the local branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). You can see at the left some brochures from the ARRL, several handheld radios, and my laptop playing an endless loop of the first Technician training video. Several other tables were devoted to various aspects of emergency preparedness.

Russ, not that I am aware of. I already knew of one ham there, but no one else introduced themselves as a ham.

  2. Russ Locke says:

Just wondering if any of the GVARC members were in evidence? We used to be involved in emergency planning activities.
